Another shoot over with numbers down on previous years and unfortunately no juniors were present, which is a worrying trend.
Once again, Gav showed why he is the club's most outstanding shooter with 20+ in all four rounds, but with a handicap of 1, he failed to get into the prize money.
Great to see youn Brent Wilton from Bombala come down the hill and knock off the High Gun sash.  Well done young fella (Brent never fails to bring down a cake or slice to help feed the masses).
Congratulations also to John Starr, Phil Body, Muzza Magrin & Caz Radford for taking out the other sahses in their respective grades.
The roster system for setting up seems to be working well but I would like to remind members that there is no rule to say you can't help pack up at day's end. (It can be a bit embarrassing having visiting shooters pitching in to help while our blokes are standing round the fire having a beer.)
John & Alison Starr are expecting their first little nipper - congratulations & well done.
Deb Moulding received a magnificent Beretta jackhammer from hubby on the occasion of their first wedding anniversary - forever the romantic, Gav.
Our secretary, Dave Cook is doing a fantastic job in coordinating the land purchase, so on behalf of all members, keep up the good work "CAPTAIN".
Phil & Shelley have just arrived home after being on "safari" for the last couple of months and cleaning up at a number of shoots along the way.  Two sashes from Queensland were particularly sweet as well as wins at Broken Hill and Milparinka.

Don't forget the BLACK COCKATOO 2 day event at Canberra on the 12th & 13th September.  Should be atop shoot.
Our next shoot is being sponsored by Jimmy & Rhonda Drakos from 777 Supermarket & Deli & Drakos Bros Construction.  So, until then,
Shoot Straight & Often,
Nev B.
